states use the same formula to calculate how many students graduate from high

The likelihood that a ninth-grader in
one of the nationÕs biggest cities will clutch a diploma four years later
amounts to coin toss – not much better than a 50-50 chance, new research

ANCHORAGE VOTERS
APPROVE $43.7 MILLION IN SCHOOL BONDS
Anchorage voters gave a big thumbs up to
the city and school districtÕs bond propositions on election day Tuesday.
Included in the $102.7 million total were $43.7 million to repair area schools.
