Alaska Educational Administrative Opportunities

The Association of Alaska School Boards (AASB) has been conducting superintendent searches for 20 years. During that time, we created the S4 Service (Superintendent Search Subscription Service) which enables candidates to establish a placement file with the Association of Alaska School Boards for a renewable yearly fee ($75). We maintain your file composed of application support documents (i.e. resume, transcripts, certificates, references and related material) for duplication as needed for various searches conducted by AASB. For the nominal fee of $15 we will copy your entire file and mail to other search consultants at your request (inside or outside of Alaska)!

Members of the S4 service are sent an announcement of an opening for a Superintendent Search being conducted by AASB for a School District. Then, an interested candidate requests an application; submits the completed application form, and a letter of interest for the position. The S4 service provides copies of the support documents contained in your placement file to complete the application process to submit to the District School Board for consideration. This service enables a candidate to establish one complete placement file (excluding the letter of interest and the application form required for the individual opening) for duplication for several openings.

As a special benefit of the service, we provide announcements and updates on other educational administrative opportunities in Alaska as the information becomes available to us, in addition to those positions directly handled by AASB as the consultant.

Another feature of the S4 Service pertains to your interest in a position in a search that is not being conducted by AASB. You may request copies of support documents (i.e. resume, transcripts, certificates, reference letters, etc.) in your file be copied and sent to a school district or agency as a supplement to your application package. We may not include copies of the completed AASB reference forms in your file due to our commitment to the confidentiality of the material unless we receive written authorization from you. However, reference letters may be copied. The charge is $15 to copy and mail files for openings for other educational administrative opportunities whether they are located in or outside of Alaska. (Use of Express mail service would require an additional charge.) An additional charge of $15 applies if a candidate requests the application on disk (Mac/Microsoft Word).
